Saturday Football
Coffee is too busy putting together his Farewell to Andy Carroll banner out of bandages & oxygen masks so is unavailable for this weeks thread.

Only 5 games today at 4 different times with us being one of the last two Premier league Saturday 3pm kick offs of the season

BOURNEMOUTH v TOTTENHAM (12.30)
Tottenham have hit the wall after they were humiliated by the mighty Hammers and are limping to the end of another barren season. DRAW

WEST HAM v SOUTHAMPTON (3pm)
A relaxed end to the season for both teams could see a bit of goal fest
HOME WIN

WOLVES v FULHAM (3pm)
Scott Parker looking for a 4th successive win in his pitch for the full time Fulham job but Wolves still have their eyes on 7th
HOME WIN

CARDIFF v CRYSTAL PALACE (5.30pm)
Last chance saloon for Cardiff if they are to catch Brighton but unfortunately Palace are a dangerous team away when teams push up on them.
AWAY WIN

NEWCASTLE v LIVERPOOL (7.45pm)
Saturday night football for Liverpool trying to take the title race to the last day.
Newcastle have stayed up comfortably with much improved home form but have nothing to play for
AWAY WIN

Arsenal can fuck off.Possibly the prefered of a bad bunch out of the "bigger" London clubs.
Always though of us as a joke club.
Since their demise they seem to think they have a right to tap us on the back when we turn over the yids.
Patronising cunts.

Re: Saturday Football
Is that 1 point out of 12 Arsenal have got to blow what should have been comfortable qualification?
Wenger would have been crucified for that

The season ends of Man U and Arsenal have been atrocious and not sure I see any signs of next season being any better.
Hopefully Man U will keep Ole and Arsenal the bunch of soft centres they have now. Letting Ramsey walk away while keeping some of the other dross is criminal

Re: Saturday Football
They beat Man U at home last season so will be disappointed with the draw.
It was their last home game in the Premier league so you’d expect them to want to go out on a high.

Huddersfield were "obscene"...

... not as "obscene" as us.

Proper obscenity deprives ManU of titles

From what I can see there can be a maximum of 5 English clubs

Re: Saturday Football
It's five (a shame)

Or so says here

"If the winners finish outside the top four in the Premier League, it will mean five English teams will be in the Champions League."

Re: Saturday Football
Cheering for Watford in the Cup now, ruin Wolves dreams.

Anybody know if Arsenal win the Europa League (and are not to 4) is there 5 (CH L) and 2 (Eur L) spots or does 4th miss out miss out on Champions League.

Sven Roeder 8:14 Sun May 5
Re: Saturday Football
Unless Arsenal win the Europa
Would that mean 5 English clubs in the Champions league?

Re: Saturday Football
That’s it then Arsenal, ManU and Wolves get the Thursday night football and Chelsea/Spurs get CL football with City and the scousers.

Arsenal can’t beat Brighton so are 3 points and 8 goals off Champions league
Some real mediocrity in teams 3 to 6
Miles behind Man City & Liverpool

Re: Saturday Football
Heard a bit on the radio and they said there was a long delay for a broken corner flag.
And that 8 mins was less than it should have been.
Understand a linesman missed a Man U player being 10 yds offside at one point but still couldn’t get them over the line.

Loving Ole at the wheel. Think we are the only team they have beaten in their last 8 and that was a travesty of a result due to the officials cheating
Carry on Ole son!

Re: Saturday Football
Spurs NEED to beat Everton next week to guarentee top 4. Going to be a very interesting day. As for us, i think top 10 is a realistic level of where we are as a club.

nychammer 5:55 Sun May 5
Re: Saturday Football
Was 8 minutes really justified ? Wasn’t watching but that sounds a bit fishy to me.

ironsofcanada 5:50 Sun May 5
Re: Saturday Football
Shame, but Ole seems a bit out of his depth.

So Arsenal need to win to drop Spurs out of top 4 next week. (barring goal difference miracle)

And we will be playing for 10th at least.

Re: Saturday Football
PL finish set up nicely for us now. Positions 9 to 12 are available. Beat Watford and Chelsea beat Leicester ( as long as Man City win tomorrow ) and we finish ninth. Beat Watford but Leicester draw and we finish tenth. If we draw with Watford we finish eleventh. If we lose to Watford and Palace don’t win we finish eleventh but if PLace win then we go twelfth on inferior goal difference.
